The Question

Have you been born again?

All people experience a physical birth. But did you know there is a second, spiritual birth available to all men? Jesus said in John 3:3, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of god." Jesus was referring to being born into the family of God. Do you remember the moment in time when you were born into the family of God, the moment when you were saved? If not, please consider the following truths from God's Word:

1. All have sinned.

Every person has sinned against God by breaking His law (Romans 6:23).

2. The wages of sin is death.

God's penalty for sin is eternal death in hell and the lake of fire (Romans 6:23).

3. We cannot save ourselves from hell; we cannot work our way to heaven.

We cannot come to God on our own terms. There is nothing we can do to restore our broken relationship with God, and no good works will earn a place in heaven.

4. Jesus already paid the penalty for sin.

When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the eternal price for the penalty of sin. He received the punishment that we deserved. He then rose from the dead to complete the work of salvation (Romans 5:8; I Peter 2:24; II Corinthians 5:21).

5. Repent and trust in Christ.

Turn away from whatever you are trusting in for eternal life, and put your faith (trust) in Christ and in His finished work on the cross (Romans 10:9-10).

6. God will THEN...

... forgive your sins (I John 1:9), save you from eternal punishment in hell (Hebrews 7:25), make you a child of God (Galatians 3:26) and give you everlasting life (John 3:16). You will have been born again into the family of God!

Signs of the times

It is God’s will that we know the times (1 Ch. 12:32; Mat. 16:3) and that we be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Let this remind us that the hour is very late, and we need to be ready for the Lord’s coming.

Are you sure that you are born again? Are you living for Christ? “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof” (Rom. 13:11-14)

This day has finally arrived - welcome in!

It seems like ages, but today has finally arrived!
Throwing open the windows of my heart to welcome you in!
